How does laser hair removal work?
The laser targets the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicle, which absorbs the light energy. This heat energy then destroys the hair root, preventing the hair from growing back.
Is it safe for all skin tones?
While diode lasers are generally safer for a wider range of skin tones than older laser types, an in-person consultation is necessary to determine the appropriate settings and ensure the treatment is safe and effective for your specific skin type and hair color.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as a warm, quick snap or a rubber band being flicked against the skin. The integrated cooling technology significantly minimizes any discomfort.
How soon will I see results?
You will notice less hair growth after each session. Shedding of the treated hair usually occurs 1 to 3 weeks after the procedure. Significant, visible reduction is achieved after the third or fourth session.
Can I expose the treated area to the sun?
No. You must avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks before and after the treatment. Sun exposure can increase the risk of pigmentation changes and adverse reactions.
