Lumecca is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. It is a powerful photo-rejuvenation technology designed to treat a wide variety of skin pigmentation and vascular lesions.
Unlike traditional IPL devices, Lumecca uses a higher peak power and optimized output to deliver a stronger, more focused light treatment. This targeted light is absorbed by the pigmented cells (melanin) and red blood cells (hemoglobin) in the skin, safely breaking them down. This process, known as photorejuvenation, results in a clearer, more even skin tone and texture.
Who Is This Treatment For?
Lumecca is a versatile solution for correcting various skin imperfections on the face, neck, chest, hands, and arms. This treatment is ideal if you want to:

Replaces lost fullness to instantly make hands look smoother and more youthful. A subtle refresh that takes years off your appearance.
Softens prominent veins and tendons for a more refined, elegant hand profile. Perfect for close-ups, rings, and special occasions.
Helps create a healthier-looking, more even surface on the hands. Your hands look fresher, softer, and well cared for.
Fast in-clinic treatment with results you can see quickly. An easy upgrade for one of the most age-revealing areas.
Lumecca’s advanced technology allows for the correction of a wide range of red and brown spots, often achieving optimal results in fewer sessions compared to conventional IPL devices.
The heat generated by the light not only treats discoloration but also stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, leading to progressive improvements in skin firmness and elasticity over time.
Due to its high peak power, Lumecca is one of the fastest and most efficient full-face photo-rejuvenation treatments available, making it an excellent "lunchtime" procedure with minimal downtime.
The treatment typically takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. A cooling gel is applied to the skin, and the handpiece is gently placed on the treatment area, delivering bright flashes of light.
The “Post-Treatment” Period: Brown spots will initially darken and look more noticeable—often referred to as “coffee grounds”—for the first 5 to 7 days before flaking off naturally. Redness and minor swelling, similar to a mild sunburn, are common and typically subside within a day.
Treatment Sensation: Clients commonly describe the sensation as a light snap or flicking of a rubber band against the skin. The treatment’s built-in cooling system helps manage discomfort, and no numbing cream is typically required.
Treatment Series & Longevity: For optimal results, a series of 1 to 3 sessions, spaced approximately 3 to 4 weeks apart, is generally recommended. Once a treatment series is complete, results are long-lasting, but annual maintenance sessions are advised to address new sun damage.
Personalized concierge medicine, GLP-1 weight management, IV therapy, and peptide enhancement designed for your best health.
Yes. This is a normal and necessary part of the process. The pigmented lesions absorb the light energy, causing them to darken significantly before they naturally micro-crust and flake off, typically within 5–7 days. Do not pick or scrub them off; let them shed naturally.
The most important preparation is sun avoidance. You must avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment. Active tans or sunburnt skin will prevent us from treating you safely and effectively.
Downtime is minimal. You can return to normal activities immediately. You may experience redness and mild swelling for a few hours. The main consideration is the temporary darkening of pigment (as mentioned above) that lasts for a few days.
Strict sun protection is critical. You must apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher daily, even on cloudy days, to protect your newly treated skin and maintain your results.
Lumecca is most effective and safest for Fitzpatrick Skin Types I through IV (fair to medium skin tones). It is generally not recommended for very dark skin tones (Type V and VI) due to the higher risk of pigmentation side effects.
