What is Hyaluronidase?

Who Needs This Treatment?
Hyaluronidase is a corrective and safety treatment. This treatment is ideal if you need to:

Does the injection hurt?
Most clients report a stinging or burning sensation at the injection site as the product is delivered, which is more intense than a standard filler injection. This discomfort is brief and manageable.
Is it always successful in dissolving filler?
Hyaluronidase is highly effective on Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers. Fillers made of other materials (like Calcium Hydroxylapatite or PLLA) are not affected by Hyaluronidase. The exact amount needed can vary based on the filler type.
Will it dissolve my natural Hyaluronic Acid?
While the enzyme is non-specific and can break down all HA, including a minimal amount of your body’s natural HA, this effect is temporary. Your body rapidly restores its own natural HA, and there is no long-term damage to the natural tissue.
What is the most important aftercare step?
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or putting pressure on the treated area for 24 hours. You may be advised to gently massage the area in specific cases, but only if instructed by your practitioner.
Are there restrictions on activities after the treatment?
You can resume light, normal activities immediately, but avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 24 hours, as this can increase swelling in the area.
